InRef, LLC was recognized with a w3 Silver Award for website design during the 2015 w3 Awards. The honor was presented for work on the Battle of Tippecanoe – To Compel With Armed Force website. The project included a WordPress child theme, online store for free distribution of a PDF version of the book To Compel with Armed Force: A Staff Ride Handbook for the Battle of Tippecanoe and other digital assets, and providing reference information for historians and staff ride teams.

According to the w3 website, the award program celebrates digital excellence worldwide. The Silver Award was judged on the factors of creativity, usability, navigation, functionality, visual design, and ease of use. The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AVIA) judges and sanctions the w3 Awards.
